Here’s a Foot-step/Handhold designed for greater strength and durability. It meets the demanding requirements of Federal Highway Administration Regulation 49CFR, Section 399. The unit has a step with a minimum 5" diameter, and is capable of withstanding a vertical static load of 450 pounds. The step has a serrated surface to reduce the possibility of skidding. The opening in the step is large enough to be comfortable for even the largest glovedhand. When flipped up, the step is held firmly in place by a heavy-duty, anti-rattle spring.
